On December 15, 2005, The Board of Directors of The Voice of the Martyrs in Canada approved the following statement as an official statement for the mission:

To hate another is always wrong. To propagate false or misleading information intended to disparage individuals or groups is equally wrong.

As a Christian organization, The Voice of the Martyrs firmly believes that because all individuals are equally created in the image of God, they are worthy of respect in spite of their actions, identity, or beliefs.

Jesus Christ commanded His followers to love their enemies and to do good to those who harm them. Christians are also enjoined to speak the truth only and always in love. It is in this spirit that The Voice of the Martyrs communicates the reality of Christian persecution in today's world.

We strongly resist and sincerely regret if this information is used in any way contrary to the sentiments expressed above. The Voice of the Martyrs appreciates all cooperation in reporting to us any such circumstances, that we might take appropriate action.
